About us

The story of Snowfoss begins in 1978 where entrepreneur Lars E. Foss acquires a company manufacturing visual merchandising products, including artificial snow. The artificial snow was at the time produced in a small room in the city of Kvistgaard.

In 1985 Lars E. Foss sells of his business and retires but instead of only playing golf he keeps the production of artificial snow and sells it for use in window displays, advertisements, the theatre and in movies.

The snow is produced in summer and is primarily sold in the pre- Christmas season. Foss Decor Snow is known for its beautiful way of falling, perfect for “Love Snow”.

Today, Foss Snow is used in Denmark and all around the world and is recognized for its top-quality snow.

You have almost certainly seen the snowflakes from Skive somewhere as it has been used in numerous movies and tv-series. There is Phantom of the Opera, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, Maleficent (black snow), Band of Brothers and many, many more. If you do not own a TV – you have probably also seen the snow used as displays in brightly lit shops at Christmas time.
